In an earlier post, I showed the step by step technique to make a circular (style) table centre structure using test tubes/vials and corflute/foam board. You can see that by clicking here.
This is a technique I showed my two friends who have never attempted any floral design activities. (You can see them make their first floral bracelets by clicking here.) There is an upcoming wedding and they were interested to see what ideas I had for table decoration that might be different to the “expected” ones at a wedding reception.
Not knowing the theme of the wedding or the colours that might be used, I supplied them with a range of different materials and let them decide both on the finishing as well as the shape of their table centres.
The beauty of these structures is that they can be used many times over in all sorts of different configurations and shapes with coverings and florals to suit the occasion. They are low enough to have in the centre of a table and still be able to see/converse with others on the opposite side.
