How many of you have vases or containers that you bought/acquired on the basis that it looked interesting and you thought you might use it “one day”? I have a storage unit fill of them!!

This rectangular container has a small opening to one side (as you can see) and matches the float bowl used in some other designs (click here to see those designs).
For the specific placement of a minimal design I have used a technique that allows for stems to be wedged into a gap in the branch. It is better explained in the video. This design uses a single lily stem with various stages of blooms. The various stages give the design more interest.
It could be improved by using flowers with a colour closer to the decoration on the container. I am also showing you the image from the reverse side as I like this angle, for this design.

In the event that you have some lily blooms with short stems, perhaps broken in transit, they can be placed in the matching float bowl for a combined display/arrangement.

Here is the video of the main design.
