Member Competition Winner July 2018
Title: Celebration (to be named)
Construction notes: A birthday cake constructed from layers of cardboard covered on the top with washi paper and the sides with crushed Xanthorrhoea seeds. The cake topper arrangement of orchids, used as a special flower to enhance the “celebratory” feel of the design is based in floral foam. Three single flowers are secured in the “cut piece of cake” with a small water vial in the “cake”.
Fabric matching the colours of the flowers and the card, base the design.
